Explore financial accounting in Extraordinary Times with FRK 201! Equip yourself for financial reporting in an age of innovation and acceleration.
Welcome to Financial Accounting 201 (FRK201). FRK201 was designed specifically to facilitate students who intend to take Financial Accounting as a major as part of a SAICA accredited degree programme (links to competency framework and rules of conduct). FRK201 is presented at the intermediate level, meaning that the knowledge and skills developed at the first year level (FRK 100) are assumed and required to be in place. Financial Accounting, in particular International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), will be studied within the framework of concepts, principles and postulates on which the module and practice are based. Consequently, during the course and the broader degree programme, you are equipped with the concepts, principles & rules of Financial Accounting that you will have to apply later in practice to specific problems in the extraordinary times we live.
